Government College, Yachuli was established in the year 2007 with the aim of equitable and equal access to higher education for the students of then undivided Lower Subansiri district in particular and Arunachal Pradesh in general. The driving spirit is, of course, the motto of the college, “Knowledge is one that Enlightens”, which will continue to inspire the learners in all time to come. Though the college is situated in a rural set up, it is ideally located for easy access between the district headquarter and the state capital on a picturesque roadside amidst the lush green vegetation. The college is permanently affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh, Itanagar and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under 2(f) and 12 (b) of the UGC Act. The college provides undergraduate (UG) course in social science streams viz English, Economics, Education, Geography, Hindi, History and Political Science.
