About Government College Yachuli

In fulfilling the aspirations of the people and with a purpose of offering quality higher education in their door steps, Government College Yachuli was established in 2007. The college was started on 19th July 2007 at temporary site in DIET buildings with a modest strength of fifty seven students and five faculty members in its initial academic session. The College was shifted to its permanent site on 30th August 2010. Being a premier institute of higher education Subansiri region, the College caters to the need of entire district.

Situated in picturesque hillocks, the college site is one and half kilometer away from the main road and Yachuli market. The Distance from the District Headquarters, Ziro is 28 kilometers while it is 120 kilometer away from the state capital, Itanagar. The nearest airportis Lilabari North Lakhimpur, Assam is 130 Km and railway station Naharlagun is 110 kilometers away from the College.

Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, the College at present offer six different subjects/departments under Arts Stream which includes Education, English, Hindi, Economics, Political Science, History and Geography. Opening of new departments are in the pipeline so as to provide the students with more choices in their studied.

The college has the facility of Distance Education Centre(IDE,RGU) which offers education for learners left out of formal education system.

The college has full functional unit of National Service Scheme to nurture the growth and personality of volunteers through community service recognized by Govt. of India.

A team of young and dedicated faculty members and office staff are putting their best efforts despite all odds to impart value based and qualitative education to the students. Their driving spirit is of course the motto of the College "Knowledge is one that enlightens" which will inspire them, all the time to come.
